Early Monday morning I woke up and called MiMi to see what time she was coming over to watch Caroline, and she informed me that had snowed. I looked outside, and was in awe at all the snow. After hearing from work, I was just as excited as a child staying home from school. Caroline and I got out every single toy, read plenty of books, and started packing to go see Daddy. I work four days a week, and use Fridays as my free day. Usually Fridays get jammed with appointments, grocery shopping, and cleaning. So to have a free day with no daily plans, was wonderful because Caroline and I got to spend quality time with each other. Tuesday morning rolled around, and I heard from work that we would be going in after lunch. Plans soon changed and I found out that we would be closing the office another day...so we decided that we would take off to see Daddy a day early!
For those who have ever packed for a baby travel trip, you know that it entails a lot more than picking up and packing for yourself. I usually make a list of the last minute items such as bottles, bottle cleaner, detergant, bath tub, towels, bumbo, changing pad....(the list could go on and on). I should take a picture next time, because you would think that I am moving when we go on weekend adventures. Since it was a last minute decision to leave a day early, I was running around like a goose with my head cut off, throwing things in the suitcase, and talking to Expedia all at the same time. Mimi came over to help with Caroline, and off I went to go meet Nenaw.
