Ritchie 2010

The year 2010 was a wonderful year for our family. I tried to write a paragraph to tell a bit about our year and it was not possible! So, I decided to give you a summary of each month with a few pictures from that month.

Ritchie January- We began our month off on the road almost every weekend traveling to Birmingham and Tupelo. Caroline was an excellent travel partner. She always slept the entire trip!

Ritchie February- Caroline had her first bowl of rice cereal and we could not keep her off her belly. Then we had our first snow in the new house.

Ritchie March- I remember this month as the Birthday Party month; every weekend was someone's party. We slowed down on our traveling this month, except for one trip to Justin and Michelle's wedding. This was the first weekend Matt and I left Caroline with grandparents!

Ritchie April-Caroline celebrated her first Easter with a beautiful dress from Sarah. My niece, Whitley, was born...and Megan had her first wedding shower. We added two new family members within weeks!

Ritchie May- This month it looks like I pretty much just took pictures of Caroline! My little brother, Jared, got married....That is enough excitement for one month! The other weekends we spent on the road, usually at Birmingham or Tupelo.

Ritchie June- This was vacation month! We headed for a family road trip to the state of Texas. We celebrated Matt's Birthday while on vacation at the Minute Maid Stadium. We also went to Sea World, a Safari Ride, and the River Walk in San Antonio. We marked off Texas from our family vacation list. We now have been to Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Mississippi as a family. Quite a few more states till we complete our list;) We also got to spend many afternoons at the Moren's pool. We also had the privilege of celebrating the dedication at Lamar Porter Field to my grandfather, Norris, who has written a book about the ball field. Caroline's favorite thing in June was watching Matt mow the grass. She would stand by the window for the longest time watching the lawn mower.

Ritchie July- I worked all Spring and Summer to keep our landscaping green and growing. Big water bill, but beautiful bed. Caroline got her ears pierced and we spent many morning and afternoons with Caroline's best friend (Snow White).

Ritchie August- This was a proud month for our family. Caroline started taking steps towards the end of August and she started school at SCDC one day a week. The pictures below are of her first day/morning before school. Matt and I celebrated our two year anniversary and still have an unconditional love. Caroline and I made a nine hour trip down to see Matt fly a Black Hawk for the first time. I have never been more proud of Matt!

Ritchie September- We celebrated Caroline's FIRST Birthday at Lakeside Pavilion. She could not get enough cake! We also celebrated the memory of my grandfather, Norris. I know he is caring and watching over Caroline in every step she takes through life.

Ritchie October- This was the BIGGEST month of our year by far! Caroline dressed up for her second Halloween as a fairy and had a blast receiving candy this year. Matt graduated from Flight School! What an accomplishment!?! And he got to come back home! Caroline got to visit Destin Beach for the first time and loved the water and sand.

Ritchie November- Matt and I traveled to another Razorback game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Matt just loves those Hog Games! We enjoyed Thanksgiving with family members as the cold weather began to move in and Caroline began to develop her personality even more!

Ritchie December- Caroline celebrated her second Christmas and boy was she good this year! Matt and I had a blast watching her facial expressions and excitement. She also got to talk to Santa this year, but she was a little curious about Santa. At the beginning of December we welcomed Jensen Grace into our family.

This wraps up the year 2010 for the Ritchie Crew. There are so many pictures I wish I could have included...and I know that this post is mainly for our family to look at the highlights in years to come. Here we come 2011!
