At the beginning of March, Sirron decided to take a home pregnancy test, as things were, and had been, a little fishy. Four positive tests later, we believed that we were in fact expecting our first child. We still weren't positive, and Matt was still pretty skeptical. The soonest that Sirron could get in for her first doctors appointment was April 6...the day after Matt arrived at Fort Benning. On that day, we found out for sure, that we have been blessed with a baby...to much surprise, we also found out that Sirron was 12 weeks along! We are both elated about the news and about being parents. Our families and friends have expressed the same joy, for which we are so thankful.
Sirron will begin going to the doctor every two weeks, and at 20 weeks, hopefully at a time when Matt will be home to go as well, we will have another ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. Our current due date is October 16, which will mean a lot of October birthdays for our family. Almost everyone has been calling the baby "he" or "him." We have our own idea of what we think the sex will be, and we're not sharing! We are tirelessly praying for the health of our baby, and also the health of Sirron. We invite and ask all of you to do the same.
