A Little Pick Me Up...

Thanks to my Mom and Grandma, our family living room bench and couch pillows were given a makeover treatment and some attention.  I adore the living room bench, but it had lots of scars and memories and needed a little help.  I chose fabric and my Grandma and Mom completed a fresh look.  I wish I had before and after photos to share, but I forgot to take a before photo.  Thanks you two!

The Easter Bunny Came To Visit

We awoke Easter Sunday to find that the Easter Bunny had stopped by our house and left goodies for little Miss....new swim attire, bubbles, chalk, and more.  We were so appreciative to have Matt home in time for Easter.  It was a joy getting to go to church and see the large crowd that had come to celebrate Jesus!  Praise the Lord!

Matt is on his Emmaus walk this weekend and will be home tonight.  The walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a new way as God’s grace and love is revealed to you through other believers.
The Walk to Emmaus experience begins with the prayerful discernment and invitation from a sponsor.  After one accepts this invitation they complete an application.  The Emmaus leaders prayerfully consider each applicant and in God’s time, the person is invited to attend a three-day experience of New Testament Christianity as a lifestyle.
Following the three-day experience, participants are joined in small groups to support each other in their ongoing walk with Christ.
Through the formational process of accountable discipleship in small groups and participation in the Emmaus community, each participant’s individual gifts and servant-leadership skills are developed for use in the local church and its mission.  Participants are encouraged to find ways to live out their individual call to discipleship in their home, church, and community.
The objective of Emmaus is to inspire, challenge, and equip the local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches, communities and places of work.  Emmaus lifts up a way for our grace-filled lives to be lived and shared with others.

Sardis Egg Hunt

Our church sponsors an egg hunt each year at the local park. We were thrilled to know that Daddy made it home in time to enjoy the fun!
Daddy and Caroline...I adore this photo

Matt and Nick...EATING the kids candy???
And now...to see what really caught Caroline's eye today....Zoey and Charlie. Caroline is in love with Zoey! She could have cared less about the eggs, all she was concerned with was Zoey. I guess Matt and I need to give in and get her a dog. Or maybe Aunt Karen can buy her one? What do you think Karen?

Collin, Braden, and Nick

We saw the Easter Bunny at the mall and Caroline waved and begged to go and see him. Well, when we went to sit by the Easter Bunny today she was not having it! She wanted to stay her distance. This is as close as she wanted.

Check out these cuties. Aunt Karen, Uncle Michael, Zoey, and Charlie

Caroline spotted the bouncy house today. Great help from the youth and Leila!

We are ready and excited for Easter tomorrow!

Guinn Easter

I am very proud of our Easter pictures! Jared, Megan, and Jensen came to Little Rock this weekend for a little family time. The girls received their Easter baskets from MiMi and wore their matching dresses. Thanks MiMi!
