Tis' the Season

We are a little bit behind on the blog...These are a few snap shots over the past month. Every year around the Holidays our family gets very busy, and we are just now getting to sit down, relax, and enjoy our family. Matt has been home for a week now, and we sure are enjoying our Daddy being home! Caroline has started consistently sleeping through the night! Each night as we go to bed, we say to each other that this will be the night that she does not make it through the entire night...but we always wake up in the morning to grins. She has discovered her voice, and loves to sit up. She has been a good girl, and is ready for Santa to come down the chimney. We will have more pictures to post after all the Christmas celebrations. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and enjoys spending time with their family on Christ's birthday.

Caroline and Uncle Jared relaxing one weekend morning watching televison together. Uncle Jared was just waiting for her to change the channel.

Caroline and her cousin Will were waiting on Great-Grandma to finish Sunday lunch. We love the family tradition of eating at the Moren's every Sunday after church. Grandma Moren always has better food than Mommy!

Hannah and Caroline were watching as we decorated the church for Christmas. We have started a new tradition at our church in Sardis. The Hanging of the Greens is every year before Christmas. Our congregation decorates the sanctuary, outside the sanctuary, family life center, and Sunday school classes with Christmas decorations. After decorating, we have a chili cook-off and Santa comes to visit.

You can tell that MiMi (Belinda) and Lynne are proud Grandmas! Weston is six months old now, and growing so fast! We always tease Caroline and tell her that she needs to grin for her future boyfriend!

This is Caroline relaxing one Friday with Mommy. We wrapped Christmas gifts for Daddy, so he would not be snooping!

So we went for our eight week check-up with Dr. Badgewell. She is so awesome with Caroline. We had MiMi go with us, just in case Mommy got upset. We have always heard that it is harder on the Mom than the child. Caroline was a trooper! She received three injections for five immunizations. She was in the 70th percentile for her heigth at 23 inches, 40th percentile for her weight at 10 lbs. 11 oz., and 14th for her head.

Matt and I decided not to baptise Caroline right now, and that we would wait and let her make her own decision on her own when she is older. Brother Jeff did want to have her come before the church and pray for her and us as parents. We do not know what we would do without our church friends!
