Joffree Lakes

We hit the road for Joffree Lakes early one morning. The hike consists of strenuous hiking for 10 km, which usually takes 4 hours round trip. Definitely only for those who are willing and wanting a full day hike. The park consists of three lakes. You arrive at the first lake in no time, second lake is a great distance, and then after the second lake you think...well...might as well keep going for the third. The third is worth the pain. It is a breathtaking glacier fed lake.

Arrived at first lake...

Check out the size of these leaves! Huge!

Walking to second lake...

And still hiking...

And still climbing...

And still...where is the next lake?!?!

We found it!

We also found this gorgeous waterfall between lake 2 and 3.

Getting close to lake three!

We can see it at a distance!

Great picture of Matt.

Best lunch view I have ever had! Pictures cannot show how blue and vibrant the glacier fed water is below the mountains.

God's Beauty
