Via Ferrata in Whistler

We awoke early the next morning for the biggest adventure of the trip. Matt had planned a Via Ferrata climb up Whistler Mountain. Via Ferrata is Italian for "Iron Way" and it was just that! It is a vertical pathway using a special lanyard system to secure yourself to steel cables as you climb to the mountain peak.

We took our normal stroll down the streets of Whistler before all the stores opened and I admired all the beauty that the town puts into their shops and streets. EVERY single street is filled with fresh, vibrant flowers.

We arrived and nerves were setting in as we got our gear on...

Looks like no big deal, right?!?!

Wrong....let the adventure begin!

Making it look easy at the testing point;)

Halfway point!

Pictures do not show the height and challenge we went through as we climbed to the peak of Whistler. I was so proud of us! Thankful that Matt planned the adventure for us to experience together!
