Mother's Day

I am just now getting around to blogging about Mother's Day, and the reason why? Because I have been busy being a Mom! I have cherished every moment being a Mother and I am blessed that God has given me a happy and healthy little girl to guide throughout life. Matt is home this weekend so I hope to spend family time together and soak up the fun! We have been to Jared and Megan's shower this afternoon and are headed to Chili's to munch munch munch... Below are a few pictures from Mother's Day, and I apologize for having them out of order.

Many of you may know that I do not like staying at the house by myself when Matt is out of town. Some nights I just have those moments when I cannot sleep and I am worried that someone will come in the house and get us! It was never a fear of mine, until we moved into the house. We now have a security system that covers every window break or opening, every hall and entry sensored (just in case one is to get through the windows or doors), panic buttons, and more little trinkets here and there. The termite guy called me this week at work and asked if we had a security system under the house also...I then realized my fear was out of control. If one is to make it past all of the security then they better get ready for one crazy Mom!! All this said, is to explain the card that I gave my Mother for Mother's Day. I always call Mom and say that I need her to come stay the night, because I cannot find my big girl panties. My motto for life is "pull up your big girl panties and deal with it." This card was perfect for Mimi.

Ready for Summer!

I just love Summer! It is my favorite time of the year by far, and I do believe it is going to be Caroline's favorite time of the year also. Like Mother like Daughter. Caroline is crawling, but she is still a little lazy like her Mom and smart like her Dad...pulling the rug closer to her instead of crawling to the phone. I just LOVE this little lady bug!

Daddy is coming home this weekend! We have a big weekend planned for Daddy! Uncle Jared and Aunt Megan are having their wedding reception this weekend! Woo Hoo! We cannot wait for the weekend. I took Caroline to the nursery last night during the Mother Daughter Banquet, and when I went to go check on her Pam told me that she was quite the show...I thought she meant maybe crying?? No, she had been growling at everyone. Papaw Troy...you are in trouble for teaching this little girl how to growl!

Play Date with Wes

What A Bargain

I took some clothes to a local consignment store today, and ended up leaving with these adorable summer dresses and outfits for two dollars each! I would have spent over one hundred dollars for these on a typical day. What a bargain! Caroline was so excited to see her new wardrobe.

P? You may ask what is so important about the letter P? We are going to have a little Dental Anatomy 101 in this blog session. The primary dentition is A-T, and Caroline has her first tooth erupting...which is tooth P!*%# Woo Hoo! I told her tonight that she can come to work with Mommy and have her teeth cleaned anytime she would like! She will be on the top of my list with my favorite patients! I do plan to put a video on the blog of this girl brushing her teeth...she loves it! I think she would brush around the clock if I would let her. Below are a few pictures of our afternoon. As you can see, she is fascinated with Snow White.

Tupelo

I almost forgot what it was like to make a road trip with Little Bit, but we headed off to Tupelo this weekend to meet Daddy. All of the rain that was in Arkansas traveled over to Mississippi and we had a big shower on the way home. We had planned to go see the Buffalo Park in Tupelo, but decided to hold off until next time. We did get to check one place off our "to go see list"...the Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum. I love getting away, because there is nothing to do other than spend time with Matt and Caroline. Below are a few pictures from our family time this weekend.

Lately I have taken up a new hobby...landscaping. I was overly excited when we were driving down the road and saw the first Azalea Tour sign. Matt had a slight grin on his face, and then like any wonderful husband would do, he followed the signs. We went down road after road, ready to turn the corner and see Azalea after Azalea. But no, we were not impressed. If you are going to visit Tupelo I would leave this sight seeing road off your list.

Speaking of things that the Ritchie crew was not interested in seeing would be the Birthplace of Elvis Presley. We have checked it off our list as we drove by and waved. We know that Elvis is a big deal to a lot of people and fans, but all we needed was a drive by to check it out.
