Last Leg of Vacation

Matt just left headed back to Alabama. I am getting started on my to-do-list for the day, stay busy is my way of passing the time. I have a small bit of sadness that Matt is leaving again, but mostly happiness because I know that we are on the downhill slope and he is about to be home again! He is finishing his last and final part of flight school this next session, and hopefully will be home near October. We had the best two weeks with Matt....I went to Wal-Mart last weekend and caught myself grinning because I knew that Matt was home mowing the yard and I could go out and about to take care of things. Caroline and I love our Daddy!

Below are a few pictures from the last leg of our vacation. We met with Ceca, Emmi, and McKay at Matt's favorite restaurant...Chili's! The girl's enjoyed teaching Caroline how to use a straw...and now she is a pro! The girls had just arrived home from their vacation to Disney World. We will have to add that trip to our bucket list.

Caroline drinking and digging in Ceca's glass....oops!
We arrived in Dallas Thursday night and headed straight over to meet with Uncle Bob, Aunt Betty, Kaylin, and Lisa. We do not get to see the Crone crew as often, so we were excited to visit and for them to get to see Caroline. Kaylin and Caroline became big buddies throughout the night, and we also got to visit a local Mexican restaurant. Thanks for the treat Uncle Bob!

Great picture! Does anyone else think that Kaylin looks like Lakyn?

Caroline back at the hotel
We had planned to meet one of Matt's friends on the way through Austin. Little did we know that we would be watching one of Matt's favorite television shows and the host was visiting a restaurant in Austin...Salt Lick. After watching the show, we could not wait to go and eat at Salt Lick, which has all sorts of barbecue.
Alex is an electrical engineer in Austin, and has been working on the same project for about four years. His company just completed the project! Way to go Alex!

Alex tried to take a family picture for the the three of us, but it was a little sunny for Caroline.

Caroline, Matt, and Alex

Once again...my two favorite people!
